What we collect

When you create an Aevum account, we store your username and a securely hashed (never plaintext) version of your password. If you add a Hypixel API key, it's stored so the proxy can look up stats on your behalf. We also store whatever settings you configure, and, only if you turn on the relevant setting, your rivalry history and periodic snapshots of your own Hypixel stats. We log basic connection metadata (like IP address) for security purposes such as rate-limiting login attempts.

Community-sourced data

Some data is deliberately shared across all Aevum users rather than kept private to your account - specifically, player ping sightings reported from your lobbies, which help build a shared pool other users benefit from too. This never includes anything personally identifying about you, the reporter - only the observed player's own public in-game ping.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to operate Aevum: authenticating you, applying your settings, looking up Hypixel stats, and (if enabled) tracking your rivalry history or stat progress over time. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with third parties except as required by law.

Public stats pages

If you enable stat tracking, your stats history is viewable at a public, shareable link (/stats/your-username) - the same publicly-available information any Hypixel stats tracker shows, tied to your Aevum username. Don't enable this if you'd rather keep that history private.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in on the website. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact the Aevum team through the support channels linked on our site.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of Aevum after a change means you accept the updated policy.
